THE CONSULTATION PROCESS
CHILDHOOD MATTERS offers anyone a consultation, with no obligation to continue with any services thereafter. Having a consultation allows us to assess your individual and unique needs, and helps us to provide you with an estimate of what the training will involve with regards to hours and cost.
The consultation process takes approximately two hours, and is conducted at your convenience either in your home, facility, any public location, or on the phone if you are not in the area of Montreal. We then proceed to ask you many questions, all of which are designed to help us determine which of our services are going to be most beneficial to your needs. Remember, our goal is to improve each child's relationship with his/her teacher, nanny, parent, camp counselor, and so on. It is in the child's best interest for us to be able to properly assess your unique and individual needs.
After the consultation, a written report of your needs, along with our recommendations for private trainings or workshops, is provided to you. If a private training is recommended, a rough estimate of number of hours needed and cost is provided in the written report. If workshops are more suited to your unique needs, dates of upcoming workshops are provided to you, and in the case of organizations which hire staff, workshop times and dates are set in collaboration with directors or owners, all depending on staff schedules.
Once we have provided you with the written report that follows the consultation, you are under no obligation to continue with any training or workshop. We have simply provided you with enough information to be able to determine which, if any, types of trainings are suitable and beneficial to you, your family, child center, camp, etc...
